
CrossTalk in Katonah starts Sept. 15
Actor Chazz Palminteri and TV chef Daisy Martinez will launch this year’s series of CrossTalk lectures in Katonah.
Now in its third season, CrossTalk, the provocative, lecture series named Best of Westchester in 2010, returns on September 15 with Burritos Over Broadway featuring Martinez and actor/director Palminteri.
The series of four talks is produced by the Katonah Museum of Art in partnership with the Katonah Village Library. Burritos Over Broadway begins with a wine reception at the Katonah Village Library at 6:30 and the program begins at 7pm.
CrossTalk features two experts talking on unrelated topics, with the collision of disparate subjects leading to unexpected insights and connections during the audience question-and-answer period that follows.
The schedule for 2011 CrossTalk will feature:
September 15 –Burritos Over Broadway (at the Katonah Village Library) Featuring Daisy Martinez (TV chef) and Chazz Palminteri (actor/director)
October 20 - Music Makers and Shakers (at the Katonah Museum of Art) Featuring Dar Williams (singer/songwriter) and Bob Pittman (MTV founder)
November 17 – Serums and Theorems (at the Katonah Village Library) Featuring Joseph Sacco (doctor/author) and Douglas Rushkoff (media theorist)
December 15 - New York, New Yorker! (at the Katonah Museum of Art) Featuring Ken Jackson (historian) and Barry Blitt (New Yorker cartoonist)
The subscription price for the entire series is $60. Admission for each program is $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Reservations are strongly suggested. CrossTalk 2011 is sponsored by the Katonah office of Houlihan Lawrence. Proceeds from CrossTalk support children’s programming at the Museum and the Library.
