Local AFL-CIO endorses Testa

The Westchester-Putnam AFL-CIO Central Labor Body has endorsed John Testa for re-election to the County Legislature in District 1.

The organization cited Testa’s experience and record as Mayor of Peekskill and now as County Legislator. In a statement to Testa informing him of his endorsement President Paul Ryan stated; “We know you will make every effort to listen to the voices of working people and work with them to improve the lifestyle of all the people.”

“I am truly grateful to the Central Labor Body for their endorsement,” Testa said. “As a teacher I have been a union member for over 30 years so I know first hand the importance of union participation in the workplace. As mayor I was able to maintain a respectful, productive and fair working relationship with the city workforce and I have done the same at the county level as a legislator.”
