    Koyla will be the featured film for March as part of the 2010-2011 International Film Festival sponsored by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. It will be shown Friday, March 18, 7:30 p.m. at the Maryknoll Mission Center, 55 Ryder Road in Ossining. Admission is free.

    Koyla is a 1996 Czech Republic film from director Jan Sverak. It tells the story of a mute man who was raised by a ruthless and cruel king.

    The film festival provides nine monthly offerings from September to April. The current series, Life through Death: Self-giving Love and the Joy of Reconciliation, includes an introduction by a Maryknoll missioner and a brief discussion after the screening. Free Event.
